March 29, 2011

Tampa, Fla. – (March 29) – Pegasus TransTech announced today that fleets are adopting truck stop scanning at a record pace, and use of TRANSFLO Express® truck stop scanning has grown more than 30% in the last two years with 2011 reaching the highest levels ever. The company has experienced continued year-over-year growth every year since launch of the service nine years ago.

“Pegasus TransTech is currently processing more TRANSFLO Express documents than at any time since we pioneered truck stop scanning with TRANSFLO Express in 2002,” said Pegasus TransTech Chairman and CEO Bob Helms. “We believe this indicates three things: a growing demand for high quality scanning at the truck stops, increased recognition of the need to speed cash flow and improve operating efficiency during the recession and easy access to TRANSFLO Express at almost 800 locations in the U.S. and Canada.”

Helms explained that documents sent by drivers using TRANSFLO Express from truck stops to fleet offices consist largely of signed delivery receipts, bills of lading, logs and supporting papers that indicate shipments have been picked up and delivered. Pegasus TransTech’s high quality and reliability has resulted in delivery of hundreds of millions of these critical documents without ever losing one of them.

New customers are signing on to use TRANSFLO Express in record numbers. They join such top fleets as J.B. Hunt, Heartland Express, Schneider National, U.S. Xpress, Knight Transportation, Prime Inc. and Crete Carrier Corp. to name a few TRANSFLO Express customers.

Fleets using TRANSFLO Express gain same day access to their delivery documents, which allows them to bill their customers faster and speed their cash flow.

“By using TRANSFLO Express in conjunction with Pegasus TransTech’s Express Indexing, we are prepared to bill a significant percentage of our freight the same day it was delivered,” said Knight Transportation President and CFO Dave Jackson. “The metric of ‘delivery to invoice’ is very important to us at Knight Transportation.”

With almost 800 truck stop locations offering TRANSFLO Express, the service is convenient and does not require fleets to purchase any special equipment. TRANSFLO Express is available at all Pilot Flying J and Love’s travel stops as well as many independent truck stops throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Now, more than ever, it’s important for fleets to improve their delivery to cash cycle by reducing their Days Sales Outstanding.

“TRANSFLO Express is the proven industry standard in document delivery and the most reliable way for fleets to get their documents in quickly so that they can bill promptly,” Helms said. “Reducing unbilled revenue significantly improves a fleet’s cash flow.”

Tampa, Fla. – (March 22) – LTI Trucking Services, a refrigerated truckload specialist, has signed with TRANSFLO Express®, the nation’s fastest-growing truck stop scanning network from Pegasus TransTech.

LTI operates a fleet of 200 tractors and 300 trailers across 48 states with 250 employees handling critical, temperature controlled products. LTI is part of the SmartWay program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

According to Controller Sherry Hehle, the adoption of TRANSFLO Express is consistent with LTI’s history of innovation. As another example, she noted, the company will soon move to paperless driver logs.

Using TRANSFLO Express means documents such as signed delivery receipts need no longer be sent by courier from the road to the office where envelopes had to be opened and paper scanned.

“We want everything done through this system,” Hehle said of TRANSFLO Express. LTI drivers have been using TRANSFLO Express since early January.

“The drivers have gotten used to it very quickly,” Hehle said. “It has worked out for them because they feel comfortable that their paperwork has been received by this office and that they’re going to get paid in a timely manner. I’m very, very pleased with the progress with our work force.”

LTI, which will soon be headquartered in downtown St. Louis, is one of many carriers that have turned to TRANSFLO Express in recent months. The number of TRANSFLO Express fleets has burgeoned along with the network of truck stops that offer the service. TRANSFLO Express is now available at almost 800 locations including all Pilot Travel Centers, Flying J branded truck stops, and Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores, as well as scores of independent truck stops.

“We’re pleased to be associated with a customer-oriented, forward-looking carrier like LTI Trucking Services,” said Frank Adelman, senior vice president of Pegasus TransTech. “We welcome LTI to the rapidly growing family of TRANSFLO Express fleets.”

March 15, 2011

Tampa, Fla. – March 15, 2011 – Pegasus TransTech announced today that it has introduced TRANSFLO Web™, a very affordable online document management system that can be accessed through any internet-connected computer.

TRANSFLO Web helps small fleets bill faster and get paid sooner, and provides large fleets with expanded access and flexibility in managing driver documents.

Small fleets will have a highly functional end-to-end document processing solution that eliminates the need for piles of paper documents. With a few mouse clicks, TRANSFLO Web customers can instantly view and store delivery documents, create invoices, and print, save or email them with supporting documents to any shipper or third party. Users also can receive and process driver logs and payroll information.

Large fleets have instant access to documents that can be tagged and emailed to any department for special projects or purposes. This cost-effective document management and workflow solution can be implemented overnight without the need of any special IT coding or hosting project.

Documents are scanned into TRANSFLO Web through TRANSFLO Express® truck stop scanning or TRANSFLO Now!™ anywhere scanning. From TRANSFLO Web, images can be worked online, emailed, printed or saved.

Once documents are in TRANSFLO Web, fleets with separate billing, payroll, and safety departments can view and route documents to any department using Pegasus TransTech’s easy workflow tool. For example, Human Resources, Legal, Compliance and Driver Recruiting departments can be automated and receive instant access to driver documents as needed using TRANSFLO Web.

With TRANSFLO Web, customers can instantly view delivery documents, store or print them, create invoices and email the invoice and selected electronic images to any shipper or third party.

“TRANSFLO Web online document management system with built-in workflow and invoice capability is an excellent efficiency tool for any fleet,” said Bob Helms, chairman and CEO of Pegasus TransTech. “And large carriers may create a basic imaging and workflow system for special projects with no IT support required.”

TRANSFLO Web saves fleets time and money by enabling instant access to documents, electronic filing, and rapid billing – soon after delivery and immediately after documents are scanned.

TRANSFLO Web Saves Time & Money:

No more hand delivering documents from one person to the next
No more copying paper documents for every department
No more filing piles of paper documents
View documents with a single click
Route documents electronically

TRANSFLO Web is easy to use and can be operated by staff with limited or no computer experience. Because it’s web based, software updates, enhancements, new features and maintenance are done by Pegasus TransTech at no charge to the customer.

More than 1,800 Drivers Comment on HOS Change Using TRANSFLO Express®

ATA Thanks Pegasus TransTech, Pilot Flying J, and Love’s
March 08, 2011

Tampa, Fla. – March 8 – The American Trucking Associations (ATA) has thanked Pegasus TransTech and partners Pilot Flying J, and Love’s truck stops for enabling truck drivers on the road to comment on proposed changes by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) in the driver hours-of-service rules.

“We are immensely grateful to Pegasus TransTech and their partners – Pilot Flying J, and Love’s – for coordinating this initiative,” said Rob Abbot, ATA vice president of safety policy. “Thanks to their efforts, over 1,800 drivers were able to share their valuable thoughts and perspectives on the proposed hours-of-service regulations. Naturally, these views are among the most important for FMCSA to consider.”

For the duration of the FMCSA’s public comment period during February, professional truck drivers were able to transmit letters commenting on the proposed hours-of-service rule change using TRANSFLO Express truck stop scanning for free. The proposed rule changes have been almost universally criticized by carriers and drivers alike.

“We recognized that we were in a position to help our customers, their drivers, and hopefully the entire industry participate in the regulatory process by giving them a voice in this matter,” said Bob Helms, Pegasus TransTech chairman and CEO. “We’re pleased that so many drivers took the time and used TRANSFLO Express to help regulators understand the very real impact hours-of-service rules have on their lives.”

Pegasus TransTech launched the unprecedented program in response to requests from a number of its fleet customers, Helms explained. The company joined with the ATA to encourage drivers who wished to comment on the proposed rule changes to send letters through TRANSFLO Express truck stop scanning at no charge to drivers or fleets, he said.

With TRANSFLO Express, drivers simply hand their delivery documents to a trained cashier for scanning at almost 800 truck stop locations in the U.S. and Canada, including Pilot Flying J, and Love’s. In seconds, these documents are sent electronically to the fleet for immediate billing and payroll processing. In this instance, the driver letters were sent directly to the ATA, which forwarded them to the FMCSA.
