Tampa, Fla. – November 17, 2009 – Four fleets of various sizes and with a range of business specialties have implemented the TRANSFLO Express® truck stop scanning solution from Pegasus TransTech to provide same-day access to delivery documents. Same-day access to delivery documents reduces operating costs, increases driver satisfaction, speeds cash flow, and improves operating efficiency.

The first of the four, Palm Freight Systems, is headquartered in Lavergne, Tenn. Palm operates its fleet of 50 trucks as a full truckload carrier and also to haul the products of its parent company, Palm International. Palm makes liquid nickel sulfate, other rare earth chemicals, and equipment used in industries such as metal finishing. According to General Manager Mike Small, Palm uses TRANSFLO Express to bill both company product and for-hire transportation at the point of delivery.

“It’s a whole lot quicker. Not only are we billing line haul quicker, we’re billing the manufactured goods,” Small said.

Globetrekker Express, of Dearborn, Mich., also has a fleet of 50 trucks.  According to Manager Adrian Nadiu, Globetrekker is a full truckload operation which previously specialized in the automotive industry, but has branched out into varied businesses.

Towne Air Freight, headquartered in South Bend, Ind., runs 650 trucks. According to Manager Dave Kreigh, the air freight company plans to implement TRANSFLO Express on selected units.

Priefert Logistics of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, is both a trucking and freight brokerage company with 58 trucks. According to Vice President Garland Hutson, the company provides transportation services which extend beyond its original role of servicing the sister company, Priefert Mfg., which is the world’s leading producer of ranch and rodeo equipment.

“TRANSFLO Express improves cash flow and driver payroll. We will be implementing TRANSFLO Express in our brokerage as soon as our drivers get comfortable using it,” Hutson said.

Regardless of a company’s size or specialty, with TRANSFLO Express drivers simply hand their delivery documents to a trained cashier for scanning at more than 540 truck stop locations nationwide, including all Pilot and Love’s travel center locations. In seconds, these documents are sent electronically to the fleet for immediate billing and payroll processing. Because TRANSFLO Express expedites document delivery, fleets and drivers get paid faster.

“TRANSFLO Express has given hundreds of fleets throughout North America the competitive advantage they seek,” said Frank Adelman, senior vice president of Pegasus TransTech. “We’re excited to offer Palm, Globetrekker, Towne, and Priefert the fastest, easiest, and most reliable way for their drivers to send in delivery documents.”
